2026 ‘Tea for Harmony’ Yaji Cultural Salon

A Chinese cultural event featuring tea and Intangible Cultural Heritage art from Zhejiang Province, was held last week in Sri Lanka.
The event was held across three major cities in the island from May 21- 23 : in Colombo, Galle in the Southern Province, and Kurunegala in the North Western Province.
Titled as the 2026 “Tea for Harmony” Yaji Cultural Salon & Zhejiang Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition and Performance, the event kicked off at the Temple Trees Assembly Hall amid a distinguished gathering including Speaker of the Parliament of Sri Lanka – Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne, ambassador of China to Sri Lanka – Mr. Qi Zhenhong, Madam Jin Qian, Minister of Labour and Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning – Dr. Anil Jayantha, Counselor of Cultural Affairs at the embassy – Ms. Ji Lili, Director of the China Cultural Center in Sri Lanka – Mr. Ni Lisheng, the Zhejiang Intangible Cultural Heritage delegation, embassy officials and government officials.
