The Government has published the Bill relating to the establishment of the Chartered Institute of Media Professionals of Sri Lanka.

Accordingly, under the Bill published in the Gazette on 5 June, the proposed legislation seeks to establish the institute as a corporate body.The initiative has been introduced with the objective of promoting and maintaining high professional standards among practitioners engaged in Sri Lanka’s media sector.
