The Dinana Dakuna has criticised police and Criminal Investigation Department (CID) actions related to contempt of court allegations.In a statement, spokesperson Shiral Lakthilaka claimed the actions are being used to restrict freedom of expression and suppress criticism.The group referred to investigations involving Wimal Weerawansa, Udaya Gammanpila, Dilith Jayaweera and others.The collective called on authorities to protect fundamental rights and ensure equal application of the law.
