The annual bus fare revision, scheduled for 01 July, is expected to take effect on 03 July, Lanka Private Bus Owners’ Association (LPBOA) Chairman Gemunu Wijeratne has stated.He noted that discussions are underway on the revision process in line with monthly fuel price adjustments.Wijeratne stated that bus fares will not be reduced for six months even if diesel prices decrease, adding that the private bus sector has recorded losses of around Rs. 600 million since 01 June.
