Landslide early warning issued for several districts
The Landslide Early Warning Center of the National Building Research Organisation has issued a fresh early warning message.
The warning, issued at 6.00pm today (Oct. 08) is valid for 24 hours.The warnings have been issued for the following areas.Warning Level 2 – Alert (Amber)
- Mawanella, Ruwanwella and * Bulathkohupitiya in Kegalle district.
Warning Level 1 – Watch (Yellow)
- Walallawita in Kalutara district.
- Yatinuwara and * Hatharaliyadda in Kandy district.
- Rambukkana, * Yatiyanthota, * Aranayake, Dehiowita and Kegalle in Kegalle district.
- Alawwa in Kurunegala district.
- Weligepola, * Kalawana, Eheliyagoda, Ratnapura, Kuruwita and Ayagama in Ratnapura district.
