– The Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) has extended the deadline for business premises operating within its limits to obtain trade licenses until August 31.

The original deadline for obtaining the required trade licenses was set to expire on June 30. However, the CMC has granted an additional period for business owners to complete the process.The Municipal Commissioner said legal action will be taken against business establishments that fail to obtain the required trade license before August 31, in accordance with the provisions of the Municipal Council Ordinance.
