– The luxury bus service operating between the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake and the Makumbura Multimodal Transport Hub has been resumed from today.The service was resumed with the aim of providing a more efficient, comfortable and safe transportation facility for local and foreign passengers using the airport, the Ministry of Transport said.

The service is implemented under the guidance of the Ministry of Transport, Highways and Urban Development, and the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Aviation, jointly by the Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (AASL) Company and the Road Passenger Transport Authority.This service will provide comfortable and swift travel facilities to and from the airport for passengers arriving at and departing from the airport to the Makumbura Multimodal Transport Hub.

The bus fare is Rs. 410 and duration of the journey is 50 minutes.

The service will be operated from 5.15 am to 6.30 pm every 45 minutes.
