– Two passengers were injured when a rock fell onto a private bus at Kadugannawa on the Colombo–Kandy main road on Saturday night.The incident was reported at around 10.04 p.m.Photographs from the scene showed that the rock had pierced the roof of the bus, leaving a large hole through which rainwater entered the vehicle.Police confirmed that the two injured persons were passengers travelling on the bus. Further details about their condition and the hospital to which they were admitted were not immediately available.The incident comes amid warnings from the Department of Meteorology of heavy rainfall exceeding 100 mm in some areas as adverse weather conditions continue to affect parts of the country.
