IMF team to visit Sri Lanka next week to review reform program

– A team from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will visit Sri Lanka from June 24 to June 30 for a staff mission aimed at reviewing recent economic developments and the country’s ongoing reform program. In a statement, the IMF said the mission will engage with government authorities and a broad range of stakeholders to assess progress under Sri Lanka’s economic reform agenda.
“The IMF country team will visit Sri Lanka during June 24–30 for a staff visit. During the mission, we will engage with the authorities and a broad range of stakeholders to take stock of recent economic developments and discuss Sri Lanka’s economic reform program performance,” the statement said The IMF also expressed its expectation for “constructive and productive discussions” during the visit.
