The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has successfully completed the combined fifth and sixth reviews of Sri Lanka’s Extended Fund Facility (EFF) arrangement.
Following the completion of the reviews, Sri Lanka will be eligible to immediately access around USD 695 million to support the country’s ongoing economic policies and reform programme.
According to an official statement, the IMF also confirmed that total disbursements under the EFF programme have now reached around USD 2.4 billion.
The 48-month EFF arrangement, approved by the IMF Executive Board on March 20, 2023, carries a total financing envelope of nearly USD 03 billion.
