A cab carrying National People’s Power (NPP) Galle District MP T.K. Jayasundara has been involved in an accident after colliding with a three-wheeler.

The accident occurred at around 2 p.m. today (17) in the Dunhena area.The three-wheeler driver and his eight-year-old son sustained injuries in the accident and were admitted to the Elpitiya Base Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the cab has been arrested in connection with the accident, while the cab has also been taken into police custody.It is reported that the cab involved in the accident is registered under the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development.

Media reports stated that the three-wheeler, which had arrived from Pitigala, was dragged for around 50 metres after colliding with the cab.
