Sri Lanka is set to gazette 20 new tourist zones before November, in a move to attract more tourists to the country.Chairman of the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority, Buddhika Hewawasam, confirmed that the process to designate the new tourism zones is already underway and will be completed before November Tourism remains strong this year with 1,076,487 tourist arrivals recorded this year so far.
The majority of tourists have been recorded from India with the number at 272,099 during this period.
